Overview

Kuredu Island Resort on the northern reef of Lhaviyani atoll. An area famous for its beauty and abundant fish life. 80 miles north ofthe International Airport and 35 minutes by seaplane. Exotic Bungalows and wonderful Villas line the white sand beach in Kuredu Island Resort. Tastefully decorated O-villas in the modern O-resort , over the lagoon the fabulous Water Villas in Sangu Resort and in the centre of the island the magnificient Sulthan Pool Villas. Kuredu is a large island with plenty of restaurants, bars, shops and activities among them the first golf course in Maldives.

ROOMS

Sultan Pool Villa: The Villas are located at the west centre part of the island, tucked into rich tropical vegetation the Pool Villas are the epitome of tranquil luxury with the unique Kuredu Island Resort profile. The Villas have a large wooden deck with an outdoor open walls living room with thatch ceiling under a cedar shingle roof, comfortable stylish seating overlooking the private swimming pool, sun beds, surrounded by a lush tropical garden. The bedroom is furnished with a romantic four post king size bedin teak wood and a large comfortable lazy chair, dressing table and a TV console. CD player and iPod docking station allows you to choose from personal collection of songs or use CDs from our CD Library. The bedroom has a separate dressing area with a walk in wardrobe and a mini pantry equipped witha mini bar and wine cooler. A magnificent semi open bath room with twin ceramic counter top wash basins and a large shaded walk in rain shower, a Jacuzzi bathtub and all amenities set amidst yet another private tropical garden. For the comfort of the guests each pool villa also has on the beach its private beach cabana with sun loungers

Sangu Water Villa: Fabulous Villas on wooden columns in the north-west side ofthe lagoon with a romantic view of the sun set from the secluded furnished veranda, sun deck and steps down to the beautiful lagoon. From the verandayou can watch baby reef-sharks learning to hunt or small rays resting in the quiet lagoon. These Villas have a spacious bedroom and sitting area exquisitely furnished with wrought iron furniture with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and bathrooms with walk in shower overlooking the turquoise lagoon. The Sangu Resort has a beautiful bar and restaurant in traditional Maldivian style and separate check in at the Sangu hospitality reception. Patrons in the Sangu Villas have Sangu Restaurant as their allocated restaurant and also the option to eat in the other main restaurants – Koamas and The ‘O’ Restaurants with same day table reservations. Due to safety reasons we do not accept reservations for the Water Villas for guests below 12 years of age. The magnificent Sangu Water Villa Suite with prime location at the west end with a 360 degree ocean view of Mother Nature at its best!! King size four post bed in teak wood and a comfortable sitting group. Large outdoor decking area partly shaded with sun loungers and a romantic jacuzzi bath. 

Sangu Jacuzzi Beach Villa: Romantic Villas with views of the Indian Ocean line the south-west Beach a few steps from the beautiful lagoon. These Villas have a spacious bedroom and sitting area. They are exquisitely furnished with wrought iron furniture and feature a furnished verandah. Open-air bathrooms with walk-in shower. Guests staying in Sangu Jacuzzi Beach Villas have Sangu Restaurant as their allocated Restaurant and also have the option of dining in any other main restaurant with a same day table reservation. Each Villa has a spacious secluded garden with a wooden deck and a Jacuzzi. Due to children policy, this room category is not available for reservation with children below 12 years of age. 

‘O’ Jacuzzi Water Villa: Romantic Villas with views of the Indian Ocean located at the south-east Beach just a few steps from the beautiful lagoon. These Villas have a spacious bedroom and sitting area. They are exquisitely furnished with wrought iron furniture and feature a furnished verandah. Open-air bathrooms with walk-in shower. ‘O’ Restaurant is their allocated main restaurant and also have the option of using any other main restaurants with same day table reservations. Each Villa has a spacious secluded garden with a wooden deck and a Jacuzzi. Due to children policy, this room category is not available for reservation with children below 12 years of age. 

Koamas Jacuzzi Beach Villa: Romantic Villas with views of the Indian Ocean are located at the southern Beach a few steps from the beautiful lagoon. These Villas have a spacious bedroom and sitting area. They are exquisitely furnished with wrought iron furniture and feature a furnished verandah. Open-air bathrooms with walk-in shower. Each Villa has a spacious secluded garden with a wooden deck and a Jacuzzi. The main restaurant allocated for the guests in Koamas Jacuzzi Beach Villas is the Koamas Restaurant and have the option of using any other main restaurants with same day table reservations. 

‘O’ Beach Villa: The "O" Beach Villas have a spacious bedroom with a sitting area and are exquisitely furnished with double beds, dressing table and sofa with table in teak, The terrace have a daybed with fan on top, and a sitting group, romantic open air bathrooms with walk in shower. Located on the north east part of the island catch the very first rays of the rising sun as they enter your room through the glass wall in the front. The ‘O’ Beach Villas entices you with the stunning view of Kuredu Express, the Lhaviyani Atoll’s famed channel that; sports dolphins occasionally as they cross in and out of the atoll. 
The view rolls over the far horizon where the deep blue Indian Ocean is furtherbeautified with the short green lines of the distant deserted islands. Whiletaking in these stunning views, feel the full and soft breeze, laden with thedeep Indian Ocean fragrance, brush over your face while relaxing on the sunbeds or on comfortable sun deck chairs. The allocated main restaurant forthe guests in the ‘O”’ Beach Villas is the ‘O’ Restaurant and have the optionof dining in any other main restaurants with a same day table reservation. Theallocated restaurant will be Koamas for families with children below 12 yearsof age. Due to children policy, this room category is not available forreservation with children below 12 years of age. 

Koamas Beach Villa: Cozy, comfortable Villas with magnificent views of the Indian Ocean, on the fine white beach a few steps from the beautiful lagoon on the south centre part of the island. These Villas have a spacious bedroom and sitting area, a small garden and are exquisitely furnished with wrought iron furniture, romantic open-air bathrooms, walk in shower and feature a furnished verandah.  The allocated main restaurant for the guests in Koamas Beach Villa guests is the Koamas Restaurant and have the option of using any of the other main restaurant with same day table reservations. 

Bonthi Beach Bungalow: These Bungalows line up most part of the northern beach of the island and are comfortably furnished with rattan furniture and a spacious open-air bathroom with walk in shower and tastefully done garden. Beach Bungalow reservations could be made for families with members in all ages.Beach Bungalows have four poster beds and can accommodate a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Bonthi is their allocated main restaurant and does not have any age restrictions. All bungalows completely refurbished during summer 2008. 

Bonthi Garden Bungalow: Located amidst tastefully land scaped garden just behind the 'O' Beach Villas in the north eastern part of the island, the Garden Bungalows are the same as our Beach Bungalows in design and facilities offered. They are just a few steps away from the beach. Garden Bungalows can accommodate a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Garden Bungalows could be booked for families in all age groups and Bonthi is the main restaurant for all their meals. All Garden Bungalows was completely refurbished summer 2008.

RESTAURANTS & BARS

We have heard that the sure way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, and we believe this is true. Kuredu Island Resort present four main restaurants, three à-la-carte restaurants, two coffee bars, five bars and room service.

Bonthi Restaurant is located within the signature building of Kuredu Island Resort in the centre of the island and it is the main restaurant for the guests in Beach Bungalows for all their meals. Bonthi serves international and local cuisine on rotating theme nights chosen from around the world.

Koamas Restaurant is also situated in the renovated signature building of Kuredu Island Resort, serving international and local buffets with show cooking for breakfast, lunch and dinner for all guests in villas on the southern coast of the island comprising of some Beach Villas, and Jacuzzi Beach Villas.

Sangu Restaurant is the allocated Restaurant for the guests in the SunsetWater Villas. This restaurant accepts guests above 12 years of age only. 

‘O’ Restaurant with deck spreading over the water on the eastern end of the island has an ambience of being one with nature. This is the allocated restaurant for the new Beach Villas on the north eastern part ofthe island. This restaurant accepts guests above 12 years of age only.

The Sangu, ‘O’ & Koamas serve wide buffets with show cooking for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Guests in the Sunset Water Villas, Jacuzzi BeachVillas and Beach Villas can also eat in main restaurants other than theirallocated restaurant if they choose to with a prior table reservation.

Babuna Bar is the main bar where Kuredu Island Resort have the entertainment & disco’s. 
Akiri Bar the quiet bar for the romantic evening, and the bar with free WiFi access. 
Pool Bar specializes in cool cocktails like, margaritas, daiquiris. a barto cool off with fancy cocktails 
Sangu Bar is the Bar for Sangu guests. 
‘O’ Bar is luxury entwined with breath-taking view of the Indian Ocean. 

Golf Bar quenches your thirst with a cold beer or asoft drink after your golf practice

Sai Kotari is our romantic tea house. Situated at the end of Kuredu harbour, "Sai Kotari" offers from dusk till mid night exclusive tea specialities and a variety of coffee cocktails. The under waterlights allow you watch the ocean life even after sunset. 

Sunset Bar at Sangu sand bank is the perfect place to enjoy the most romantic scenery at the island – the sunset.

DIVING & WATER SPORTS

Diving: Discover the under water world around Kuredu Island Resort, and the incredible variety of fish life and coral reefs that make up the Lhaviyani Atoll. Kuredu is home to the Pro divers PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Center. In addition to offering the full range of PADI scuba diving courses, Prodivers also has one of the Maldives’ only dedicated snorkel centers. In addition to having snorkel equipment for rent, Prodivers also offers a range of snorkel courses, including the verypopular Turtle & Manta Ray Specialty Courses.

The snorkel center also run daily trips to a number of snorkel sites around the Atoll. With over 50 dive and snorkel sites on offer, variety is key around Kuredu Island Resort. The multinational team of instructors can teach all the PADI courses from Bubble Maker through to Instructor. There are regular course starts throughout the week in various languages.

ACTIVITIES

 Sports & Recreation: Kuredu Golf Club:  is the first of its kind in the Maldives. The Golf course is located on the eastern portion of the Island, surrounded by natural forest and the noise of the ocean. There could be no where more peaceful for the game of golf. The Golf Club boasts a full size driving range. A large putting green is also available to perfect the short game.
