Overview

The sophisticated resort was re-branded in July 2012 and is located in Alif Alif Atoll, a scenic seaplane ride from the international airport. The elegant water villas feature glass panels in the floor, so you can observe the underwater world without even leaving your villa. They also feature semi open air bathrooms with i-spas, for the ultimate in indulgence. The beach villas are discreetly hidden amongst the lush vegetation and combine stylish contemporary design with a tropical twist. Your own private beach cabana is the ideal spot to relax on a scorching hot day. Explore the exotic island on a pathway framed by mature tropical vegetation, take a dip in the azure lagoon or play a round of golf on the resort’s golf simulator.

ROOMS

WATER VILLA - Perched over pristine turquoise waters, there is no other place to be than on the private deck in the infinity pool, taking in the breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean.

Glass paneled floors allow observation of the exotic marine life, while steps lead directly onto the soft sandy lagoon for a refreshing dip. The bathrooms are partially open-air and feature i-Spa bathtubs.

BEACH VILLA - Dotted throughout the island's lush vegetation, these generously appointed villas are elegant and discreet. The interiors open up to invite the invigorating sea breeze, as do the open-air bathrooms, the plunge pool and a sun deck with cozy loungers. A private cabana directly on the beach is perfect for enjoying the views under the sun.

OCEAN VILLA - This villa reflects the tradition and cultural heritage of the Maldives.Carvings inspired by the 100-year-old Mosque on the nearby Utheem island, as well as other traditional Maldivian crafts enhance the interiors. Continuing the rustic theme are the beds, made of teak in its original form. The expansive terrace features an infinity plunge pool, a traditional Maldivian swing - un'dhoali - and an over-water hammock. There are separate areas for lounging, dining and sleeping, as well as air conditioned bathrooms with i-Spa bathtubs and rain showers.

Complementing the villas interior is state-of-the-art technology, including electrical blinds, a blu-ray home entertainment system with a smart remote control and internet,  portable Neoz light, lighted shaving and make-up mirrors and Artemide lights.

BEACH SUITE - With more space to enjoy the tropical surroundings, these luxurious retreats feature separate areas for lounging or entertaining, dining and sleeping.Guests can also enjoy the lavish i-Spa bathtub and rain shower in the bathrooms and relax in their private beach cabana or plunge pool.

GRAND WATER PAVILION - Set above the pristine turquoise waters with an elegant thatched roof, the solid timber structure and breezy open spaces make this spectacular villa a perfect haven. The villa features 2 bedrooms, a private swimming pool, 2 lavish i-Spa bathtubs, private dining area, a spacious lounge with a state-of-the-art home entertainment system and a large sun deck where the sweeping panoramic views of the Indian Ocean can be enjoyed.

GRAND BEACH PAVILION - The ideal retreat for a family or group. The refreshing sea air and stunning views can be enjoyed from the private deck or in the swimming pool, while pampering can be arranged in the massage treatment room. The villa consists of two bedrooms, a dining room, two open-air bathrooms, a sauna, steam room, i-Spa, and state-of-the-art entertainment. The game lounge on the first floor can be turned into a third bedroom to accommodate 2 extra adults or children (with toilet but not en-suite bathroom).

SAFFRON - Over-water Asian flavors - Set over the water, it is only fitting that Saffron is the dining hub of the resort, offering sumptuous all-day dining amidst the stunning views of the Indian Ocean. In the morning, discover the delights of a Champagne breakfast. At lunch, a selection of fresh snacks and sandwiches is available. In the evening, the restaurant is transformed into an elegant, Asian inspired restaurant, featuring contemporary Maldivian and Asian cuisine.

MEDIUM RARE  - Sizzling Charcoal Grill. Cool Ocean Breeze - Real flavors served in a stunning and romantic beachfront setting, The essence of the Maldives can be savored in freshly caught and prepared seafood, with herbs and vegetables from the resort's own garden. Also served are a selection of top quality imported meats, luxurious delicacies and boutique wines from around the world. With weekly Lobster and Champagne events, Middle Eastern nights and Maldivian cooking classes, Medium Rare is the heart of culinary wonders.

THE CELLAR – Stairway to wine Heaven - Welcome to a whole new world of refined tastes and splendor. Located below sea level, the Cellar is an under-ground treasure trove housing an extensive collection of fine vintages from boutique wineries around the world. Connoisseurs and beginners are invited by our Executive Chef and Sommelier to join one of the weekly hosted events to experience gourmet creations paired with specially selected wines to get an insight into the intricacies and techniques of wine pairing including a blind tasting.

INFINITY - Life.Uncomplicated - An oasis of peace and tranquility on the beach, guests over 16 years old are free to relax and be pampered in this secluded area.  A fabulous selection of modern Asian food and freshly made salads and sandwiches is served throughout the day, with pool side massages also available.

AMAZON - Jungle feel.Island pulse - A refreshing oasis for all. In keeping with the Maldivian affinity for nature and the outdoors, the Brazilian-inspired Amazon is set in the cool tropical surroundings of the main pool and offers a wide range of smoothies, mocktails and revisited classical Brazilian cocktails.Throughout the day, our chefs will please your palates with the freshest salads and home-made pizzas from the oven.

30 DEGREES - Exclusive Over-Water Dining - The most exclusive gourmet moment in the Maldives dedicated to private over-water dining on a reservation-only basis. Set over turquoise water, guests are taken on a gastronomic journey of discovery through an array of exquisite sampler dishes, paired with a unique wine chosen beforehand by our sommelier. Over-water pavilions are available for special events.Reservations and arrangements prior to the events are mandatory.

SALT WATER - Latitude 0 –Cloud 9. - A luxurious spot for lounging comfortably after a day in the sun - ideal for watching the sunset, sipping pre-dinner drinks and sampling tapas, creative sangrias and wine by the glass.Uncover the delights of our unique selection of tapas made by our Chef.

Unwind. Sunset is the timefor chill out music and a "Happy Hour" from 18:00 to 19:00 on selected drinks. Every evening, enjoy a live performance from our Resident DJ together with a vast selection of homemade Sheesha and cigars.

ART GALLERY & TEA LOUNGE - Crossroads of Talents. The Gallery presents the works of artists inspired by the Maldives. Breakfast is served in this thatched-roofed open-air restaurant nestled in the lush tropical gardens of the resort, show casing the works of local artists and indigenous art pieces. In the afternoon, a world of tradition and delicacies awaits tea lovers in Art. Subtly fragranced tisanes made from local herbs are served for a Maldivian high tea, featuring items that blend western traditions and local ingredients.
